There’s the archive year, what’s on’s, a rock n’ roll tune and a whole lot more.

Mike Powell

The Zone with Mike Powell airs every Tuesday at 8pm.

What can you expect? A mixed bag of goodies focused on mainly indie, alternative and electronica, though listen for long enough do not be surprised if you encounter some Northern Soul, old school techno, chill wave, occasionally even some hip hop! Mike has all of these bases covered, and more besides, so if you are open minded to a wide variety of genres and like taking the b-roads of music rather than the main routes, The Zone is well worth a listen.

Be warned: Once you have entered The Zone, you may find it hard to leave.

Nathan Gould

The 80s show (12-2pm) on Tuesdays.

On the 80s show, I play a mix of 80s songs from all across the decade – some you’ll definitely know, some you’ll have forgotten and some I think you won’t ever have heard of!

Plus, I talk about a particular 80s music topic (eg. the New Romantics, Live Aid) and do a countdown of the UK Top Ten Singles from a particular 80s year each week.

Drive time (4-6pm) on Tuesdays.

On Drive time, as well as giving out the latest traffic and travel news, I play a mix of music from the 60s to now and look back at what happened on this day in music.

So I hope you can join me every Tuesday afternoon for some great tunes and facts!’

Andy Wobbly

Tuesday breakfast show 7am-10am

Andy Wrob from St Helens is currently doing the breakfast show at HCR on a Tuesday morning 7am to 10am, a most enjoyable experience for me.  Main content being, your weather updates just after the news at the top of the hour, Traffic travel updates twice an hour, and just great music to get you in the mood for the day ahead.

There are also the 3 great songs at 10 to 9 for that long goodbye on the doorstep,

Today’s media news, birthdays, mixed with loads of funny things about life in general,

And the odd moan about everyday life’s experiences.

It’s Eclectic and ram jam full of Content.

My show is Inspired by Pirate Radio in the 1960s to do Radio Shows on my father’s Grundig Reel to Reel Tape recorder under various guises eg Chris Curry and Steve Ravaczech!! First proper radio shows on Radio Warwick in the early 70s including a 13 Hour Show as Crazy Chris! Radio largely side-lined during hugely enjoyable 32 Year Teaching Career teaching History to A Level.

Since 2008 I have developed the Show on Southport Community Radio, Dune FM and 7 Waves on The Wirral and Mighty FM and now since March 2014 HCR. Radio has been usually an enjoyable creative fulfilling hobby and I have met so many excellent people through radio, fellow presenters, listeners. Co Presenters and Guests. Supporting and promoting Local Musicians has been especially rewarding.

Very few experiences in life match the buzz of Live Radio and I thank all the amazing listeners over the past few years…Peace xx
